Manju Chaudhuri has lived and worked in England since 1971. She is a retired teacher now. She also taught in a secondary school in India before moving abroad.

Her published work includes GCSE Bengali texts, a teacher's manual and other resources including children's bilingual stories.

The autobiography The Flowing River was published in 2010 and its Bengali version Kangsho Ganga Thames in 2004.

She was a voluntary fund-raiser for ‘Children with Cancer UK' and has been sponsoring children in India for many years.
